B.Pharmacy

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is a four-year undergraduate Programme designed to introduce students with the properties and impacts of pharmaceutical drugs. The Programme helps students in developing the skills essential to counsel patients about medication and use of drugs. The curriculum and syllabi for the course are as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) the statutory body governing pharmacy profession in India. The core pharmacy subjects include Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology.

Under this Programme the emphasis is laid on human anatomy, drug dosage, drug action and reaction active ingredients used in the formulation of the drugs and how to maintain their quality in the storage. In addition the Programme also concentrates on preparing the students and training them for industry-ready holistic pharmaceutical care in the practice setting. The industrial visits and equally important practical sessions ensure students receive a perfect exposure to the real-world situations while learning.

B.Pharm is a good course for the students who are interested or willing to work around medicines and have a good aptitude towards the pharma industry can option for this course. This course is also ideal for people who wish to open or own a chemist shop and have strong business skills.

It is very interesting course and student can interact to many subjects like Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Physiology and Anatomy, pharmacognosy which are non-chemistry subjects and pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis which are name as chemistry subjects.

Bachelor of Pharmacy or B.Pharm is a 4-year undergraduate program which is compulsory for anyone who wants to practice as a pharmacist. B. Pharmacy is the study of preparing and conferring drugs and medicines for a number diseases and deficiencies.

Pharmacists are needed in every location and every hospital, due to which the scope of this course has increased positively.

Bachelor of Pharmacy covers all the faces of healthcare including bio-chemical areas that concern the preparation of medicines and implementing the prepared drugs for the right diagnose. Prevailing modernization in the field of Pharmacy has globally increased its value. B.Pharm engages studies of all the subjects that therapeutically help people provided from their medicines.

After completion of B.Pharm there is a options to do either M.Pharm or Pharm.D
