Dr. Palle Raghunatha Reddy, an academician par excellence, a visionary, and a versatile personality scripted the noble journey of Sri Balaji Educational Society in the year 1991. Dr. Reddy was born in Pallevandlapalle, a tiny hamlet from the interiors of Anantapuramu District. He started his career as a Junior lecturer and worked for over twenty years. Well versed with the ongoing struggles of students in the district of Anantapuramu, he began realizing the dream of establishing an educational society with the motto of “Quality Education everyone’s equal Right” into reality.
He steered forth confidently and established SBES on a modest note. Under his able guidance, the society flourished with many institutions ranging from Schools to Junior colleges, Diploma colleges, Under Graduate colleges & Post Graduate colleges offering assorted courses to the students. For his ardent devotion and the committed services, he has rendered in the field of education, he received 9 prestigious national and international awards.
Dr. Reddy also has a luminous career as politician. He entered into politics by responding to the call given by the Telugu Desam Party Founder and the legendary actor, Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, in the year 1994. He won as an MLA from Nallamada constituency in the year 1999 and elevated to the position of Cabinet Minister for IT, I&PR of the party. Throughout the journey, he was bestowed upon a wide variety of positions including, Chief Whip, Whip, MLC and many more. He considers himself very fortunate to have had this successful journey where he was able to serve his people and constituencies that elected him. He has been acclaimed as a man of integrity and held an impeccably clean image in the politics.
Dr. Reddy was greatly supported by his beloved wife, Smt. Palle Uma, who shared his burden of managing SBES and the institutions under the society, until her sudden demise in the year 2018. His only son Dr. Palle Venkata Krishna Kishore and his daughter-in-law Mrs. Palle Sindhura, returning from US after two decades in US took over the supporting role after their mother’s passing to help Mr. Reddy in the administrative activities SBES and carrying forward the same momentum.
