- To work towards creating a safe, secure environment, which deters acts of abuse, sexual harassment of women.
- To frame policy guidelines for eradication of harassment along with procedures to combat sexual harassment.
- To promote the concepts of gender sansitization and gender equality.
- To establish a system for dealing with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment in a time bound manner and providing support to the victimized.
- To conduct awareness sessions, periodically, for the benefit of stakeholders involved.
- To put in place measures to resolve the complaints from aggrieved persons.
- To conduct counseling and conciliation sessions, to resolve the issues.
- To avoid recurrence of incidents of harassment by forming vigilance squads.
- To conduct sessions where in open dialogue with stakeholders can be had.
- To get legal help in cases, wherever necessary, from the legal fraternity.
