M.Pharmacy Programme (Pharmacy Practice)

  • Possess extensive knowledge spanning disease origins, etiopathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, lab data interpretation and treatment strategies, biomedical sciences and pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics pharmacogenomics behavioral, social factors relevant to clinical pharmacy services.
  • Provide patient centered care as the medication expert and deliver accurate, critically evaluated, well referenced and up-todate drug information to the health care professionals.
  • Help physicians and other health care professionals in ensuring rational (safe, effective and economic) usage of drugs
  • Utilizing knowledge from foundational and pharmaceutical sciences, evaluate scientific literature and resolve drug related issues, educating healthcare professionals and patients through ward rounds, seminars, workshops, and training programs, while also promoting medication safety via health promotional activities, awareness campaigns, screenings and counseling.
  • The students are in an ideal position to provide a link between prescriber and patient, and to communicate information & counseling on health and drugs to the public. The students must be knowledgeable and confident while interacting with health care experts and the public.
  • Pharmacists play a crucial leadership role in undeserved health care settings, requiring skills in compassion, empathy, vision, decision-making, communication, and management. Leadership recognition in students requires vision and capacity to lead effectively.
